Fitting Farewell was founded in 2009 by people who understand from personal experience what it means to lose someone close. Since then, we have helped thousands of families and funeral directors across the UK — particularly in Birmingham, the West Midlands, London and the South East — to create funeral stationery that truly reflects the person they have lost.
We are a small, specialist team of designers and print professionals. When you come to us, you speak directly to a real person — an experienced designer who will help, advise and guide you through every step of the process. We discuss design ideas, adapt existing ones or create something entirely new, all around your photographs, your memories and the things that made your loved one who they were.
This is a done-for-you service. You are not handed a template and left to manage it yourself — you have enough to organise and plan without adding that to your list. Your designer takes care of everything from first conversation to final proof. Our pricing is clear and transparent: one price covers design, printing and delivery, with nothing hidden and nothing extra to pay.

Why We Started Fitting Farewell
In 2007, Alison Lowe lost her sister, Janine, to breast cancer. In the difficult weeks that followed — planning the funeral, choosing the order of service, searching for something that felt truly personal — Alison and her family found that the stationery available simply wasn’t good enough. The designs were generic, the process impersonal, and the results didn’t reflect who Janine was.
That experience gave Fitting Farewell its purpose. Alison, alongside co-founder Peter Lowe, established the business in 2009 with a single belief: that every family deserves funeral stationery as unique and personal as the life it celebrates.
Since then, we have created thousands of orders of service, memorial cards and stationery pieces for families and funeral directors across the UK — with particularly strong relationships in Birmingham, the West Midlands, London and the South East. Every piece is designed for you. Every family speaks directly to their designer. And every order includes everything — design, printing, delivery, no hidden extras.

Alison and her husband Peter started Fitting Farewell after losing her sister, Janine, to breast cancer in 2007. The experience of planning Janine’s funeral — and finding that the stationery available simply didn’t do justice to who she was — gave Alison a purpose she has pursued ever since.
As Studio Manager, Alison is often the first voice families hear when they call. Her warmth, her firsthand understanding of what families are going through, and her careful attention to every detail have shaped the way Fitting Farewell works from the very beginning.
Peter Lowe, Co-Founder
Peter co-founded Fitting Farewell with a passion for helping families create meaningful, personal tributes. With a background in design, he has worked closely with families, celebrants and funeral directors across the UK since the business was founded in 2009.
Peter oversees the creative work at Fitting Farewell, bringing skill and careful attention to every family he works with. He believes that a beautifully designed order of service is more than stationery — it is the first thing people hold in their hands on one of the most difficult days.

You Approve Before We Print
Before a single sheet goes to print, you receive a full digital proof to review. We make any changes you need until you are completely happy. Only then do we print and despatch.
