Delivery
How long until I receive my order?
From the moment you approve your design proof, your stationery is typically with you within three working days. All orders are despatched by overnight courier and delivered by 6pm. We will always send you an email when your order has been despatched.
How much does delivery cost?
Standard next-day delivery is included in the price of every order — there is nothing extra to pay. Delivery is by overnight courier to any mainland UK address, Monday to Friday, delivered by 6pm. Pre-noon, pre-10am and Saturday delivery are available for an additional £25. Call us free on 0800 612 6484 to arrange.
Someone needs to be available to sign for the delivery
Please ensure your order is sent to an address where someone will be available to sign for it — your work address is often the best option if nobody is at home during the day. If a delivery is missed, a card will be left with details of how to arrange redelivery or collection. Please ensure someone is available on the stated delivery day to avoid delays.
Can I order several products at the same time?
Yes. If you order multiple items — for example an order of service and memorial cards — these will be despatched together and only one delivery charge applies. Any delivery upgrade (pre-noon or Saturday) applies to the combined order.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
We deliver within the UK only. We have occasionally produced a print-ready PDF for overseas customers to have printed locally — call us to discuss if this is something you need.
Are there delivery surcharges for remote areas?
A surcharge may apply to certain remote areas of the UK. If this affects your order we will contact you before proceeding.
Paper Sizes and Specifications
What size is A5?
A5 is 148mm wide × 210mm high (5.82″ × 8.26″) — approximately 70% of the size of A4. Our standard funeral order of service is printed on A5.
What does a 4-page or 8-page A5 booklet mean?
Take an A4 sheet in landscape format and fold it in half, left edge to right edge. You now have four sides of A5 — that is a 4-page A5 booklet. Nest another folded A4 inside and staple down the spine and you have an 8-page booklet. Each additional folded sheet adds four pages.
Why do page counts increase in multiples of four?
Each folded A4 sheet creates four sides. Adding sections in multiples of four keeps production straightforward and the finished booklet easy to hold and use.
Can I have a different size or format?
Yes — because all our designs are bespoke, we can work to different formats. If you have something specific in mind, speak to your designer and we will advise on what is possible. A smaller page size does not automatically reduce the cost, as most of the time and expense is in design, setup and production rather than paper.
Images and Photographs
Can I use my own photographs?
Yes — including a photograph of your loved one is central to what we do. We accept both physical prints sent by post and digital files sent by email or file transfer.
Can I send physical photographs?
Yes. Send them to us by recorded post and we will scan them for use on your stationery. Your photographs will be returned by recorded post after scanning. Please allow enough time for postage given that we are usually working to a tight schedule.
Can I send digital photographs?
Yes — and this is usually the quickest option. We accept all common image formats, though JPEG or TIFF files give the best print results. Your designer will advise you on the best way to send files when you speak.
What if my photograph is poor quality?
We will assess every image you send and do everything we can to improve it using professional retouching software. If a photograph is very blurry or low resolution, there is a limit to how much can be done — but we will always let you know and discuss alternatives before proceeding.
Is there a charge for retouching photographs?
Light retouching — removing small marks, blemishes or creases — is included at no extra charge. If an image requires more extensive work, or a person needs to be digitally removed from a background, we may make a small additional charge of £10. We will always tell you and get your agreement before proceeding.
Can I use paintings, drawings or artwork?
Yes, provided they are not mounted on board or solid materials such as wood or stone. The largest size we can scan is A2. The image will be scaled to fit the stationery.
Digital Printing
What print quality can I expect?
We design using professional software and print in full colour on high-quality stock. Our print partner is a leading Midlands digital print specialist and the finished result consistently reflects the care and quality put into the design.
How will I see the design before it is printed?
We will email you a digital proof — a PDF of your design — for you to review carefully. Nothing goes to print until you are completely happy with every detail. We will make any changes you request before asking for your final approval.
How quickly will I receive my stationery?
Typically three working days from proof approval to delivery. Express options are available when time is short — call us free on 0800 612 6484 to discuss your deadline.
What quality control is in place?
All printed items are checked internally before despatch. We also rely on your proof approval as a final check before anything goes to print. Our aim is your complete satisfaction and we will always address any concerns quickly.
Copyright
Football club badges
We are regularly asked to include a football club badge on stationery for supporters. Permission must be sought from the club for every individual order — a previous grant of permission does not carry over to a new funeral. We handle the request on your behalf. Most clubs respond positively, though this can take a little time, and we will keep you informed throughout.
Licensed characters — CBeebies, Disney and similar
We handle copyright requests for licensed characters on your behalf. The process can take time and permission is not guaranteed, but we will always pursue it and keep you updated on progress. We will never use a copyrighted image without the appropriate permission.
Other copyrighted images or logos
If you would like us to feature any other copyrighted image, logo or artwork, speak to your designer. We will advise on whether permission is needed and handle the request where we can.
Returns
What is your returns policy?
We work hard to ensure every order is checked and approved — both internally and by you — before anything is printed. In the unlikely event that goods arrive damaged or defective, please contact us immediately and we will arrange for the items to be replaced, repaired or refunded. We cannot accept responsibility for errors that were present on an approved proof and not queried before printing, though we will always do our best to help where time allows.
